Q. How can I be sure about what type of lenses I need to order for my glasses?

After your eye examination your optometrist will provide ou with a prescription and recommend whether you need reading, distance ,bifocal or varifocal lenses.
Depending on the lens strength you need, you can choose the ideal lens on our frame ordering page. Discover helpful tips on lens selection here. Do not worry if there is any issues with lens selection we will contact you to discuss and provide advice.

Q. Do I need to send you a copy of my glasses prescription?

Yes, after ordering you can send us a copy of your prescription for us to check.
You can send by email ,whats app or post this to us for our optician's verification.

Q. How do I obtain a copy of my eye test prescription?

UK Opticians Act of 1989, it is the obliges your optician after an eye examination to provide you with a prescription.

Q. Do you supply supply Bifocal or Varifocal glasses online?

NO we do not supply Varifocals or Bifocals online.
To ensure optimal fit of varifocal or bifocal lenses it is important to take accurate measurements of the patient's eye position whilst wearing the frame of their choice, we cannot do this remotely.
If you are able to visit our Little Spectacle Shop in Corbridge we can supply all types of varifocals and bifocal lenses.

Q. Can I order my new spectacle frames without any prescription lenses?

Yes, just select "frame only" on the product page.

Q. What if my prescription is complicated/ outside of your power range, has prisms or I'm just unsure about lens types?

If you are unsure about your prescription and suitable lenses, options and pricing please just contact us directly and we will be glad to help you.

Q. What if I made an incorrect order?

Don't worry just contact us as we very quickly process our orders.
If you delay, we may not be able to amend your order. Please double check before placing your order and contact us immediately if you think you have made a mistake.

Q. How long normally does it take for me to receive my new glasses?

Most times, your new glasses will be ready to send out to you within 7-10 working days.They will dispatched by your chosen delivery method when ordering. For more information on shipping prices and delivery please visit this link.

Before your new prescription glasses are supplied to you, we undertake a quality and verification check to ensure they're produced to the highest standard

All new prescription glasses are dispatched from our Little Spectacle Shop in Corbridge Northumberland, UK. The vast majority of our spectacles will fit throught the standard letterbox.

Q. Do you offer a money back guarantee?

We offer a 30 day money back guarantee. Please contact our offices if you are unhappy with your order and we will assist you on the procedure for returns.

Q. Do you offer a warranty on your products?

Yes we offer a 12month warranty on all purchases.

Q. Are you qualified to sell prescription glasses?

Yes. We are fully qualified ophthalmic opticians registered with the GOC

Q. Are your spectacle lenses glass or plastic?

We only stock plastic lenses for online orders,speciality glass lenses are available at our offsite opticians premises.

Q. Do you provide a reglazing service?

Yes, we can reglaze/put new lenses in your own existing frames. Please see this link about our reglazing glasses service.

Q. Do you take NHS vouchers online?

Currently, we do not accept NHS vouchers online. We will shortly be able to process them at our offline store (date TBA).

Q. Are your designer brands 100% genuine?

Yes, we only provide 100% authentic designer eyewear brands supplied directly from the registered UK wholesalers/manufacturer.

Q. Is it possible to use my contact lens prescription to order glasses?

No, sorry your contact lens prescription is not the same as your glasses prescription.

Q. Can I order prescription glasses for my children online?

No, legally we cannot provide spectacles for children online.
We can provide childrens glasses from our Little Spectacle Shop opticians in Corbridge.

Q. What if my new glasses from the Little Spectacle Shop need to be adjusted?

All our frames and lenses are thoroughly aligned, checked and verified by our optician before dispatch.Minor adjustments,you may be able to do yourself (see spectacle adjustment advice and tips here) or by taking your new glasses to your local opticians(most are happy to do free adjustments).
