Below are answers to our most commonly asked questions:
Prescription Spectacles (Instore)
Q. Do you sell prescription spectacles instore?
Yes, we provide a full range of prescription spectacles for adults, including single-vision, bifocal, and varifocal lenses. You need to bring or email a valid, signed prescription from your optometrist. We do not stock children’s glasses instore or online, but we can provide children’s spectacles at our Little Spectacle Shop opticians in Corbridge.
Q. How can I be sure about what type of lenses I need to order for my glasses?
Your optometrist will give you a prescription and recommend whether you need reading, distance, bifocal, or varifocal lenses. Depending on your lens strength, you can choose the ideal lens on our frame ordering page. For helpful tips, visit our Lens Selection Advice. If there are any issues, we will contact you to provide advice.
Q. Do I need to send you a copy of my glasses prescription?
Yes. After ordering, please send your prescription copy via email, WhatsApp, or post so our optician can verify it.
Q. How do I obtain a copy of my eye test prescription?
By UK Opticians Act 1989, your optometrist must provide your prescription after your eye test. Learn more about obtaining your eye test prescription here.
Q. Do you supply bifocal or varifocal glasses online?
No, we do not supply bifocal or varifocal glasses online. Accurate measurements for these lenses require an in-person fitting, which we provide at our Little Spectacle Shop in Corbridge.
Q. Can I order spectacle frames without prescription lenses?
Yes, you can select "frame only" on the product page to order just the frames.
Q. What if my prescription is complicated or outside your range, includes prisms, or I'm unsure about lens types?
Please contact us directly — we'll be glad to help you choose the right lenses and discuss pricing.
Q. How long does it normally take to receive my new glasses?
Most orders are ready and dispatched within 7–10 working days from our Corbridge store. For shipping details and prices, see our Shipping, Delivery and Returns page. We conduct a thorough quality and verification check before dispatch.
Q. Do you offer repairs or a reglazing service?
Yes, we offer repairs and reglazing (new lenses in your existing frames). Visit our Glasses Reglazing Service page for more information.
Q. Do you offer a money-back guarantee?
